Many of our campaigns apply both on the state and national level. Through our relationship with the ASBC, we have access to a wider network, and representation in Washington, DC, as we continue to develop and sustain our local ISBA network in Iowa.

National Advocacy Campaigns

Both ISBA and ASBC are committed to working to secure funding for essential programs as well as reducing commodity crop subsidies. Please join us in urging Congress to create a Farm Bill that provides opportunities for entrepreneurs and local and organic farmers moving into the agriculture sector in the coming years.

States across the country are taking up legislation to require purchasing decisions by state and local government to give priority to American made goods—also known as domestic content provisions. Polls show there is strong bipartisan support for “Buy American” provisions when taxpayer dollars are at stake.

ASBC believes that protecting the environment has always been and should remain a bipartisan effort. The nation needs to invest in clean energy technologies that will create jobs, lead to economies of scale, and lead to cleaner air. Read More and Take Action

Support Clean Energy Victory Bonds

Reliable, long-term financing has been one of the greatest obstacles to moving the nation toward a clean energy future. Clean Energy Victory Bonds can be a big part of the solution. The Clean Energy Victory Bonds Act of 2012 works to create an investment vehicle that allows Americans to invest in one of the fastest growing sectors in the global economy, as well as a means to collectively provide a secure and sustainable energy future, create jobs, and regain our competitive advantage in clean energy technology. Read More and Take Action
